Sinotrans is increasing its focus on its core business by acquiring the assets of its parent company, Sinotrans Group; and by implementing the Yangtze River development strategy.

The company has witnessed a strong revenue growth during the period 20032007. Its revenue grew at a CAGR (20032007) of 22%, from CNY17,373.9 million (approximately $2,288 million) in 2003 to CNY38,876.9 million (approximately $5,119 million) in 2007.
In October 2007, the company announced that it would purchase some assets from Sinotrans Group for CNY1,106 million. The target assets provide a wide range of services, including freight forwarding, international express (excluding private mails and military mails), warehouse storage, shipping agency services and operation of ports.
