Increasing demand in the snack and bakery food market continued to drive the M&A activity in the segment.
  • M&A activity in the non-alcoholic beverages segment recorded a decline of 47.4% in volume terms against the last six-month average. Activity remained focused on the healthy and natural beverage segments. The alcoholic beverage segment witnessed increased M&A activity in the emerging markets.
  • M&A activity in the personal care segment was focused on the hair and skin care market. The ingredients sector recorded five transactions worth $674.5m, with a primary focus on sugar production.
  • Consumer markets recorded one public offering in November, as compared to no offerings in the previous month.
