The fleet manager can be securee in the knowledge that the card can ONLY be used for fuel, unlike a credit card which can be "miss-used" to buy snacks and worse. Also fuel cards unlike credit and debit cards awork on a closed "network". They do not contain any of the customers banking information so if lost or stolen are far kore secure than a credit card, as they cannot be used to obtain funds from the customers bank account or to steal the custoemrs identity.
