Sometimes counselling may be part of a formal process, as in the case of performance appraisal. But usually, counselling can happen on a day-to-day informal basis. In either case, the key to productive counselling is that the other person should take responsibility for the problem. This 12 minute DVD uses two real-life scenarios to illustrate how to conduct productive counselling using two different but complementary methods of counselling - the question style and the advice style.
