Different cultural, legal and business challenges affect the appetite for, and adoption of, business process outsourcing (BPO) differently in each European country. Labour regulations remain a significant barrier to BPO in some of the largest European nations. More commonality across different countries will occur as and when there is more socio-political unification across Europe. However, such change is largely out of the hands of vendor organisations and will take a long time to have an effect on overall BPO market growth.
