This IDC study looks at the role of consulting and integration (C&I) services within the IT market as a whole, and within the context of the local New Zealand market. In New Zealand, C&I activities are often heavily influenced by other events happening in the marketplace. This study provides an assessment of key issues in the ecosystem, as well as the nature of the interaction between these factors and the subsets of the C&I market, namely ? IT consulting, systems integration (SI), network consulting and integration (NCIS), and custom application development (CAD). This study looks at the causes and effects of these changing dynamics within the New Zealand C&I market. This allows a deeper insight into the C&I market, as many of the trends assessed are also seen on a regional and global level; therefore, this study takes into account the impacts of key market dynamics such as size on global C&I services trends.
