Market growth calculations take into account all factors that are likely to spur or inhibit market growth. Revenue figures are provided at the manufacturer level and are not corrected for inflation.

INFORMATION SOURCES

BCC Research surveyed almost 20 companies to obtain data for this study. Included were participants and industry observers in the global industry for specialty chemicals for water treatment. In addition, data was compiled from various secondary sources such as government, nongovernment industry stakeholders, nutrition and market publications, and other public research data sources.

BCC Research used both primary and secondary research methods in conducting this research study. BCC presents an analysis by the different categories and regions, with revenues for 2008. Then, based on the surveys, the potential growth rates of the existing categories and regional markets are analyzed to forecast revenue projections for 2013. All forecasts are in constant 2008 dollars.
