Analysis report on China Printing Machine Industry

There are over 600 printing machine manufacturers of various sizes in China. Since 2005, except for some strong enterprises, most printing machine enterprises think the sales market is in downbeat, sales rate falls and inventory increases. In the former six months in 2006, the sales revenue of printing machine industry increased by 7.7% compared with the same period in 2005, but the realized profit decreasing by 8.6%, total profit by 15.4% and comprehensive index of economic efficiency by 4.6% year on year. At present, home-made printing equipments just account for 28% in Chinese market. In the former 11 months in 2004, 222 sets of offset press were imported at Shanghai port, increasing by 16% compared with the same period in 2003.The total value exceeded RMB 0.8 billion, increasing 38% year on year. The import volume of printing machine keeps rapid growth for several years. Since 21st century, computer technology, network technology, digital technology and laser technology impel the development of printing technology and printing machine. CTP system and digital printing system have great development space. In 2005, the market capacity of printing equipment was RMB 18-20 billion. It is forecasted that the total output of China printing equipment will increase at the annual speed of 8% in 2006~2010.
