Unit shipments, value of shipments, and average selling value information is presented. Data for 2003-2008 is actual, whereas data for 2009-2013 is projected.

Key findings include:

IDC anticipates a small unit CAGR of <1% for the total U.S. MFP market from 2008 to 2013. 2009 is expected to bear the brunt of a struggling economy, while the market is likely to be on the road to recovery in the latter part of the forecast period.
Color laser MFPs continue to hold the most promise in the near and long terms. After uninterrupted growth till 2007, inkjet MFPs stumbled in 2008 and are expected to post their highest decline yet in 2009. Monochrome laser MFPs have been projected to decline at a CAGR of 0.8%.
