This IDC Update provides a brief description of an Enterprise 2.0 startup that has a software server for bridging enterprise applications and data sources and Web 2.0 interfaces, providing a secure environment for delivering Enterprise 2.0. It also presents the industry initiative Secure Enterprise 2.0 Forum, which is actively promoted by Worklight.

The industry impetus to leverage the Web experience for enterprise collaboration and communication gives rise to new players that are keen to ride the emerging Enterprise 2.0 wave. WorkLight is one of the startups that lay a bet on Enterprise 2.0 and has since been attracting industry attention.
