Summary

This report that sums the results up from the Sourcing part of the Nordic IT Investment Guide study covers both outsourcing, Software as a Service and Business Process Outsourcing.

Nils Molin, Managing Director IDC Sweden says:

"Even though large companies are very positive to outsourcing and plans to increase investments and add outsource more services it's clear from the report that the days of the really big deals still haven't come back". He continues:"The main driver for outsourcing is the difficulties in recruiting and retaining personnel. Customers also perceive outsourcing as a mean towards getting better operational efficiency and higher quality in the IT operation".

The report also shows that SaaS is high on the agenda among Nordic companies, 30% has already implemented solutions and another 23% are considering to implement. Another finding is that the BPO market still is sleepy. We actually see more companies that claim that the will reduce investments significantly than there are respondents that claim to increase significantly.
