Norway Outsourcing 2006 and 1H 2007 Vendor Shares and 2007-2011 Forecast

IT Outsourcing amounted to a total of 4,762 MNOK for the first half of 2007, a 3.8% increase over the second half of 2006, during which the full year reached 9,121 MNOK. 2006 was the year when the divide within IT Outsourcing became all the more obvious as IS Outsourcing nearly stagnated while all the action seemingly took place in the areas of Application Management and Hosted Application Management.

"2006 saw a 4.1% growth, a great shift from the 10.0% witnessed in 2005 in the Norwegian IT Outsourcing landscape", says Managing Director Nils Molin, IDC."But it is sufficient to take a glimpse beneath the seemingly calm surface to discover that there is in fact a lot of motion. The winners will be those who anticipate and react to the needs of the customers in the dynamic outsourcing marketplace.".
