This study provides initial findings from demand-side research based on weighted results. In September and October 2005, IDC conducted a survey of over 800 IT departments in North America to provide the current status of the use of application deployment software. This research is done primarily to support the development of key assumptions and market drivers for the upcoming IDC forecast period (2006?2010). The results illustrated in this document are primarily divided by size of company/organization (based on number of employees), but additional research is available to IDC clients based on other criteria. The results also provide important indicators of future market development in terms of desired improvements in functionality.
