"Our preliminary estimate for the growth of the content management software market in 2008 is 7.4%," said Melissa Webster, program vice president, Content and Digital Media Technologies at IDC. "The worsening economy tempered overall market growth in 2008. However, we also saw exceptionally strong growth from many of the content management suppliers during the year, and we expect to see continued good growth in this market over our five-year forecast period, though growth rates will be lower due to the global economic crisis."
