- What is the current size of the EAS market in Turkey, and what is the forecast potential of the market?
- What is current spending on EAS software in Turkey in the various vertical markets and end-user segments?
- Who are the leading players in the EAS market in Turkey, and how are they positioning themselves to capitalize on market growth?
- Which industry segments are investing in EAS solutions, and how will future spending patterns affect market development?
- What are the defining characteristics of the EAS installed base in Turkey in terms of vertical sectors and end-user market segments?
- How will political and economic conditions specific to Turkey affect the market?
"While large and very large businesses continue to represent the mainstay of spending in Turkey's EAS market, small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) are becoming an increasingly important revenue stream for vendors. L&M fees have become more affordable, which has led many SMBs to migrate to integrated enterprise applications. However, IDC expects growth within the Turkish market to slow as the global economic downturn dampens overall IT investments, particularly in 2009 and 2010. In general, we expect to see more firms tighten their belts to make the most of investments already made. During this period, vendors can expect tougher competition for fewer large-scale projects, which will make revenues derived from maintenance contracts and sales of extended functionalities to current installed base customers ever more important." - Senior Research Analyst Mukesh Chulani, IDC Turkey.
