Monthly Price Report of China Coal Market, June 2007

In Jun, 2007, the coal price in Shanxi province rebounded. The price of steam coal started to rebound from the late period of May, and that of in Datong increased RMB 5/ton, which shook off the situation of continuous drop since the beginning of the year, while the price of coking coal rose RMB 40/ton, the smokeless coal of Yangquan increased RMB 35/ton in May.

The coal price in the located places of the listed companies of Shanxi Province all rose, though in different levels: that of Datong Coal increased RMB 5/ton, the steam coal and coking coal in Gujiao Mine of Xishan increased RMB 20/ton and RMB 40/ton respectively, that of Shanxi Guoyan New Energy Co., Ltd, grew RMB 20/ton, Shanxi Lu'an Environmental Energy Development Co., Ltd, rose RMB 30/ton, Shanxi Orchid Science & Technology Pioneering Co., Ltd, up RMB 10/ton.

The coke price in the located places of the listed companies of Shanxi Province also increased: The second-grade metallurgical coke in Linfen grew RMB 120/ton, that of Jiexiu, rose RMB 90/ton, Taiyuan increased RMB 40/ton, Tangshan, up RMB 50/ton in April, and in May, it remained the same level.
