Established in 1982, CyberMedia describes itself as South Asia's largest specialty media house. The company's key businesses include print publications, websites, events, market research and outsourced publishing services.

CyberMedia produces 16 publications, 12 websites and manages a portfolio of events covering the IT, telecom, consumer electronics and biotech segments. The company's other media businesses include IT-focused TV programmes, market research, content outsourcing and business process outsourcing. The company was listed on the Mumbai stock exchange in June 2005.

Print titles include Dataquest, PCQuest, Voice&Data, BioSpectrum, Living Digital, DQ Channels, DQ Week, Global Services, DARE and Halsbury's Law. The company also maintains a portfolio of 12 websites led by CIOL (www.ciol.com) which the company describes as India's largest technology site. CIOL sits at the centre of CyberMedia's network of 12 websites which serve technology users, vendors, solution providers and services companies across India.

The CyberMedia Events division was founded in 1989 and today organises over 100 events annually. The events division specialises in technology shows such as TiEcon, Hi-Tech Prunea and the PCQuest Regional ICT Series. The Media Services division includes market research, publishing business process outsourcing (BPO), content creation and custom publishing services. The most significant of these is market research division which was founded on CyberMedia's relationship with the IT and telecom research company IDC, a legacy of the company's original ties as IDG's first India partner in the mid-1980s.

In the financial year ending March 31st, 2008, CyberMedia recorded revenues of US$23 million and a net income of US$1.1 million. The majority of revenues (almost 57%) are generated by the print properties. The Media Services division accounts for approximately 34% of overall revenues - this includes 16% from custom content services and 14% from CyberMedia's IDC market research franchise.
