St. Jude Medical, headquartered in St. Paul, Minnesota, USA, is engaged in the design, manufacture and marketing of cardiovascular medical devices. The company's product portfolio includes pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs), vascular closure devices, catheters, heart valves and anastomotic connectors. St. Jude sells its products in more than 130 countries with more than 20 operations and manufacturing facilities worldwide.

St. Jude's operating segments are Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM), Cardiac Surgery (CS), Cardiology and Vascular Access (CD) and Atrial Fibrillation (AF). In November 2005, St. Jude created a fifth segment following its acquisition of Advanced Neuromodulation Systems (ANS), a developer, manufacturer and marketer of implantable neuromodulation devices used primarily to manage chronic severe pain.
