EIU Nigeria Country Report Now Available From Report Buyer

Report Buyer, the online destination for business intelligence for major industry sectors, has added a new EIU report which offers an in-depth political and financial outlook for the current situation in Nigeria.

EIU Nigeria Country Report provides an overview of the fields of politics, business and economy.

Offering a detailed summary of Nigeria for the remains of 2008 and 2009, the EIU report addresses a range of relevant topics such as fiscal policy, international assumptions, external sector, inflation and exchange rates.

Analysing the current political state in Nigeria, the authors of the report highlight the issues in the country’s political scene including the unrest which followed the annulment of the governorship polls and the problems which persist despite the decision to re-run them. The report also outlines the challenge of the endemic Obasanjo-era corruption which faces President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, as well as the renewed attacks on the oil pipelines in the Niger Delta.

Furthermore, the report provides a summary of Nigeria’s economic policy and performance which looks into the President’s approval of delaying the 2008 budget, the government’s decision to cancel the concession agreements as well as the Central Bank’s raised interest rates and the highlighted need for extra refinery capacity following the fuel shortage.

The EIU report includes a full summary which contains specific data on the economy as a whole and is broken into annual, quarterly and monthly charts and tables.
