Summary
Boosted by the integration of Cegetel in August 2005, Neuf Cegetel's revenues grew by 55% year-on-year, to €1.8 billion. The key growth driver was the consumer segment, where revenues doubled to €493 million, due to a 78% increase in the number of DSL subscribers, as well as rising take-up of new services, such as VoIP and TV-over-DSL. As a result, its share of the broadband market increased by 1.3 percentage points to 15.5%, within striking distance of second-placed Free at 16.9%.
The operator also recorded healthy revenue growth in both the enterprise and wholesale segments, 45% and 41% respectively. It is emerging as a key player in the enterprise market with a market share of 16%, having increased the number of directly connected enterprise sites by 66%. It is also the major alternative to the incumbent in the wholesale market, supplying one eighth of all DSL lines in France to other ISPs.
