TeliaSonera's Vision 2010 aims to transform the telco into a service-led company through simplifying aspects of operations. TeliaSonera began with changes to its operational support system (OSS) aimed at improving efficiency and responsiveness to its customers. The prime contractor for this project was Wipro, an IT services and SI company. Our review looks at one area - the L2 and L3 IP VPN project in Sweden, as an example of how, with Wipro's help, TeliaSonera moved away from its reliance on legacy systems and processes and took a step closer to becoming a service company. It also indicates how TeliaSonera might chose to approach the transformation of other areas of its business.
