Summary

This IDC study presents the five-year forecast for Asia/Pacific (excluding Japan) or APEJ unified communications (UC) market through 2009-2013. It provides forecast for 12 countries including Australia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, the Philippines, the People's Republic of China (PRC), Singapore, Taiwan, and Thailand. IDC also provides country-level forecasts for various segments within UC. This study includes revenue for IP telephony (IPT) equipment as well. IDC forecasts that the total APEJ UC revenue will increase from US$1.9 billion in 2009 to US$4.9 billion in 2013 at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 26.5%. The study provides the country-wise forecast for UC product segments - IPT, unified messaging (UM), instant messaging (IM), Web conferencing, videoconferencing, mobility, and contact center.
