In addition to identifying the key trends currently shaping the market, the study profiles all the wireless operators."The Spanish mobile communications market remained dominated by Movistar, the subscriptions leader, followed by Vodafone, Orange, and a still very distant Yoigo. Between 3Q06 and 3Q07, mobile penetration grew from 103% to 106%, totaling 47.6 million subscriptions. All 1.56 million-net additions were captured in the postpaid segment. Prepaid subscriptions continued to decline, at more than 3% to 20.55 million in the homologous period," said Joao da Silva, senior research analyst for IDC's European Wireless and Mobile Communications Service.
