Summary
This study summarizes the results of the survey on the current and future usage trends for managed services, which are concomitantly provided together with communication services. The survey was conducted primarily via the Web among companies in Japan with 100 or more employees. It was conducted in two phases (phases 1 and 2), with 517 and 553 respondent companies, respectively. Phase 1 of the survey was conducted to analyze the current communications and managed services usage in Japan as well as the users' evaluations of these services and their respective SPs. The objective of phase 2 of the survey, on the other hand, was to analyze (using fixed-point observations) how the results obtained in the previous survey changed a year after the first phase of the survey was conducted.
