European Enterprise Networks, 2007 Top 10 Predictions

This IDC Top 10 Predictions document highlights the trends that we believe will shape the market for enterprise networks in 2007.

"Due to the entrance of (low-end) vendors in the enterprise network market, end-user prices are quickly declining, and competition is increasing rapidly. To be successful vendors need to develop mass-market skills and know-how to promote their products and develop the most efficient distribution channels. The enterprise network market is highly mature and competition is fierce. Vendors should realize that new technologies and services will require additional functionality of enterprise networks and IDC is positive about the opportunities that this will bring to network vendors," according to Evelien Wiggers, senior research analyst, IDC's European Enterprise Network research.
