Enterprise mobility has been talked about for years now. Key drivers for enterprise mobility across North America, Europe, and Asia include an increasingly mobile workforce, an explosion of mobile devices used by employees, and better applications that deliver real productivity to the workforce in a mobile environment.

In our 2008 Global Enterprise Telecommunications Survey, we found that while enterprise mobility is top-of-mind for Global 2000 CIOs and IT Managers, they are under no illusions about the amount of time and money it is going to take to fully integrate mobility as part of the offering to their employees. IEMR's 2008 Global Enterprise Telecommunications Survey has found that enterprises are only interested in provisioning and supporting a limited number of their mission-critical employees (Managers, sales staff, etc.) as part of their mobility and mobility support plans.
