Worldwide OSS and Billing Network Consulting and Integration Services 2008-2012 Forecast

This IDC study analyzes the network consulting and integration services opportunity around the service provider OSS/BSS environment. Wireline, wireless, and cable service providers (SPs) worldwide are transforming their network and OSS/BSS operations to deliver dynamic, personalized customer experiences across multiple networks, applications, and devices.

"While the 2008 global recession will shift near-term investment priorities from transformational projects to OSS/BSS consolidation and optimization projects," said Wu Zhou, IDC's senior analyst covering Network Life-Cycle Services, "SPs must shift their organizational culture and operational focus from technology-centric to customer-centric processes as the global economy recovers. As a result, demand for end-to-end OSS/BSS design expertise will become a significant revenue opportunity for OSS/BSS consulting during the forecast period."
