Summary

This IDC study updates IDC Canada's annual forecast of the Canadian wireless communications market. Wireless is now the largest segment of the C$36 billion Canadian telecommunications services market. The wireless services segment will be a C$21.5 billion market in 2011, accounting for almost 47 per cent of total telecom spending.

"Wireless has solidified its position as the future of telecommunications and is now the sole major growth driver of Canadian NSP revenue growth,"said Lawrence Surtees, vice president of communications research and principal analyst at IDC Canada Ltd.
