Companies in the marine transportation segment focused on consolidation to remain competitive. M&A activity in the rail transportation sector was concentrated in Europe. M&A activity in the air transportation segment was primarily focused on emerging markets, driven by attractive growth potential. The air infrastructure segment witnessed significant private equity interest, despite the air transportation industry going through a tough phase, highlighting the longterm potential.
