  • The airlines industry consists of revenues from passenger air transportation, both chartered and scheduled.
  • The marine industry consists of the total revenue generated from transportation of goods and passengers over water, either inland or over sea.
  • The trucking sector consists of total revenues garnered from local, national or international general freight and passenger road transport. The railroad sector consists of total revenues collected from passenger rail transportation. Together, the trucking and railroad sectors form the road and rail industry.
  • The airport services market consists of the revenues obtained by operators of airports and companies providing related services. Market values are estimated from WLU volumes (one WLU is equivalent to one passenger or 100 kg of cargo) and revenue figures per WLU for a representative sample of airport operators.
