This IDC study provides detailed analyses, conclusions, and forecasts (2014--2018) regarding the dynamics of the enterprise storage systems market in Poland. The information in this study is intended to provide an understanding of the changes and opportunities facing storage industry players in this emerging market. Our 2013 data and analysis are based on information gathered from interviews with leading IT companies (vendors, distributors, assemblers, systems integrators, and value-added resellers) in the enterprise storage systems market. The data is broken down by product category, installation, protocol, OS, and price band.
"Supported by a huge increase of internal storage value, the total disk storage market in Poland grew 10.5% in 2013 to $178.38 million. However, the revised 2014-2018 forecast predicts a compound annual growth rate of just 4.7%, which means a hard fight for vendors to win storage projects in the coming years. The previous double-digit margins for storage vendors' partners are likely to decrease, and resellers will have to focus more on additional services connected with disk storage implementation. Storage hardware is becoming a commodity, and the integration of hardware systems with management and virtualization software into preconfigured modules will be one of the key methods by which vendors will increase revenue." -- Research Manager Jarek Smulski, Systems and Infrastructure Solutions, IDC Poland.
