Summary
Badan Pengatur Jalan Tol (BPJT) is undertaking the construction of a toll road project in Riau Province, Indonesia.

The project involves the construction of a six-lane 131.4km-long and 21m-wide toll road between Pekanbaru and Dumai via Kandis.

It includes the construction of concert rigid pavements, pedestrian ways, supporting walls, road separator, toll stations and other related infrastructure facilities and the installation of safety systems.

The project has been divided into six sections, with section one being Pekanbaru-Minas of 9.5km long, section two Minas-South Kandis of 24km long, section three South Kandis-North Kandis of 17km long, section four North Kandis-South Duri of 26km long, section five South Duri-North Duri of 28km long and section six North Duri-Dumai of 25km long.

The state-owned company, PT. Hutama Karya has been appointed as general contractor; PT Kanta Karya Utama under environmental impact assessment work; PT Cipta Strada Engineering Consultants as a civil engineer and REDS Consultant as traffic consultant for the project.

PT. Hutama Karya has partnered with PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (SMI) to finance the project.

In July 2016, BPJT received approvals from the government of Indonesia to obtain loan from Chinese development bank Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB).

In November 2016, construction works commenced on section one (Pekanbaru-Minas).

On July 23, 2017, 47% of land acquisition was completed.

Construction activities along with land acquisition activities are underway the entire project is scheduled to be complete by 2019.

The project involves the construction of a 131.4km toll road from Pekanbaru to Dumai in Riau Province, Indonesia.

The US$1,304 million project includes the following:
