Galesi Group (GSG) is undertaking the construction of a mixed-use complex in Schenectady, New York, the US.

The project involves the construction of a mixed-use complex on a 24ha land.

The project includes the construction of The Riverhouse, 206 apartments, 50 condominiums, 15 townhouses, two hotels, Harbor Center office-retail complex comprising 12,077m2 of retail and dining, 5,946m2 of Office space, and a Rivers Casino & Resort. The project is being implemented in two phases.

The first phase includes the construction of a 124-room Courtyard Marriot hotel, a banquet hall, 204 apartment units, 15 townhouses, 50 condominiums, a supermarket, a cycle path and a marina.

The second phase includes the construction of US$27 million Harbor Center comprising two buildings for office and retail space: 3,623m2 One Harbor Center building with 1,207m2 of retail space and 2,415m2 of office space, 6,131m2 Two Harbor Center building with 2,027.m2 of retail space with 4,090m2 of office space, a restaurant, a food court and Rivers Casino & Resort.

The US$330 million Rivers Casino & Resort includes the construction of 4645m2 gaming floor, high-end steakhouse, a marketplace, lite fare restaurants, entertainment lounge, banquet hall, a spa, 163 room hotel and parking garage.

Rush Street Gaming has been appointed as the associate developer for Rivers Casino & Resort and Development Management Associates (DMA) as the developer for a remaining scope for the project.

Re4orm Architecture, Klai Juba Wald Architects, and HBT International Architects have been appointed as the master planners and Bergmann Associates as Maritime Planner and Design.

Hershberg & Hershberg has been appointed as the civil engineer, Barton & Loguidice as the traffic engineer, Dente Engineering as the geotechnical engineer, TJ Hesnor as the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineer and NBT Bank will be financing the project.

Rifenburg Construction, BBL Construction and Bonacio Construction have been appointed to undertake the construction of the project.

In December 2014, Site preparatory works have been commenced.

In September 2015, GSG received planning approval for revised scope of townhouses, which were reduced to 15.

On October 26, 2015, construction work commenced on the first phase of the project.

In October 2016, ground breaking ceremony held, marking the start of construction on US$27 million Harbor center office-retail complex under the second phase of the project. Construction works on the Marriott hotel has been completed and officially opened.

In February 2017, construction works completed on Rivers Casino & Resort.

Developer seeks $12 million tax credit for Mohawk Harbor cleanup.
