Simon Fraser University (SFU) along with Simon Fraser Student Society is undertaking the construction of a new student union building in British Columbia, Canada.

The project involves the construction of student union center comprising of five floors with a built up area of 9,754m2. It includes the construction of a 2,500-seat outdoor stadium, space for school organizations and clubs, food and retail, student society offices, meeting rooms and lounges, study space, a performance space and a nap room.

SFU has appointed Perkins + Will as Architects to provide architectural design for the project.

In February 2015, tenders for the construction contract were invited with a submission date on March 3, 2016.

On December 21, 2015, SFU signed US$44.3 million loan agreement with Scotiabank.

On June 6, 2016, groundbreaking ceremony was held.

Construction works are underway and are scheduled to be complete in 2018.

The project involves the construction of student union center on a 9,290m2 area in the Lorne Davies Complex at the south end of the Terry Fox Field at Barnaby Campus of Simon Fraser University in British Columbia, Canada.

The US$65 million project includes the following:
