The Government of Equatorial Guinea (GoEG) is undertaking the Oyala Jungle Capital City Development project in Wele-Nzas Province, Equatorial Guinea.

The project involves the construction of mixed-use facilities on an 8,094ha of jungle land. The project comprises the construction of the country government’s headquarters, president’s residence, a 450 room luxury hotel, office facilities, a convention center with a 2,000 seating capacity, a golf course, 50 villas, residential units, a university, a stadium, a medical center, a space-ship shaped library made of glass and steel, a spa center, a new airport and other related infrastructure such as access roads and parking facilities.

Ali Mourabet Engineering has been appointed as the engineering consultant for the project. BK Architects has been appointed as the design contractor to design the hotel, conference room and villas.

In May 2013, Arab Contractors was appointed as construction contractor for the building a new headquarter of GoEG.

Construction activities on the library, luxury hotel and the headquarter building are underway. The project, in its entirety, is foreseen to be completed by 2020.
