The General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways (GDDKiA) is undertaking to construct a bypass road within national road no 46 in Opole Voivodeship, Poland.

The project involves the construction of 11.4km (1x1 lanes) of the national road with three roundabouts, two bridges (over the Wydrowicki Channel), a flyover (over the Scinawa Niemodlinska and ponds), seven viaducts, seven overpass and related facilities.

The project also involves reconstruction of several sections of local roads and utility supply networks.

In November 2006, Transprojekt Warszawa was selected to provide a technical-environmental study on the project.

In September 2010, Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) was secured.

In January 2011, Mosty Katowice was selected to work on the project’s concept design.

In December 2014,the project was included in the government’s Program of National Roads Construction for 2014–2020.

On November 8, 2017, GDDKiA issued tenders for design-build (DB) contractor with submission deadline as December 18, 2017.

As of January 2018, nine companies submitted their bids which are namely:

The consortium of Mota-Engil, Himmel and Papesch has submitted the lowest bid of US$79 million.

Tender activities are underway. Construction activities are expected to be commence in 2019 with completion scheduled by 2021.
