The project involves the construction of an LNG terminal with a capacity of 25,000m3. It includes the construction of gas processing units, distillation units, storage tanks, truck loading facilities, re-loading bunkering facilities and related facilities, the installation of compressor units, and the laying of pipelines.

On December 10, 2014, the Ministry of Employment and the Economy granted US$34 million.

On March 18, 2016, the European Commission approved US$31 million funding.

In April 2016, TGE Gas Engineering GmbH was appointed as the consulting engineer.

On October 1, 2016, HLNG announced tenders for the project with a submission deadline of October 14, 2016.

On June 22, 2017, HLNG secured the final investment decision (FID).

In October 2017, Wärtsilä group was awarded a turnkey contract to supply an LNG receiving terminal.

The scope of the contract includes site filling, soil refurbishment, civil works, infrastructure, full containment storage tank, regasification and gas metering, BOG (boil-off gas handling) system, electrical and control system, unloading, loading system and bunkering and truck loading.

The construction works are underway and scheduled to completed by August 2020.
