Boston Housing Authority (BHA), Preservation of Affordable Housing (PoAH) and Madison Park Development Corporation (MPDC) are planning to redevelop the Whittier Street public housing complex in Roxbury, Massachusetts, the US.

The project involves the construction of a mixed-use community and will be developed in phases. It includes the construction of 509 rental units, 1,321m2 of commercial space, a fitness center, lounges, community rooms, 135 parking spaces and related facilities.

The phase one includes the construction of 168 new apartments and demolition of 68 apartments to make way for new apartments.

In February 2015, BHA applied for a US$30 million Choice Neighborhoods grant from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development for the project.

On October 15, 2015, the Board of Directors of BHA approved the project plans.

In December 2016, the project received US$30 million from the federal government for the project.

In February 2018, NEI and JANEY Construction was appointed as contractors for phase 1A.

On February 27, 2018, BHA broke ground on phase one site, marking as construction commencement.

Construction works on the first phase is expected to complete by mid of 2019 and entire project redevelopment expected to be complete by 2021.
