Any currency conversions used in the creation of this report have been calculated using constant 2015 annual average exchange rates. Please note that 1 terawatt hour is identical to 1,000 gigawatt hours (GWh).

The Spanish renewable energy market had total revenues of $19.1bn in 2015, representing a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 1.8% between 2011 and 2015.

Market production volume increased with a CAGR of 2.3% between 2011 and 2015, to reach a total of 95.6 TWh in 2015.

Spain is ranked together in fourth place globally for the total amount of wind power capacity installed, after China, the US, and Germany. It is also the country with the highest capacity in the world of concentrating solar power. That is, non-photovoltaic solar power in which the sun's rays are used as a heat source to drive a steam turbine.
