On July 28 and 29, 2015 ABB Enterprise Software hosted the 2015 ABB Enterprise Software Customer Conference in Brisbane, Australia. The purpose of the event was to bring together customers, partners, and the press from Australia and all over the globe to share the direction of ABB Enterprise Software's plans and to create opportunities for peer-to-peer engagement among ABB's customers. The event signals the beginning of ABB taking its new integrated branding to market.

ABB is a leading industrial equipment and enterprise software company primarily serving the asset-intensive industries -- energy, mining, transport, and manufacturing. Through a series of acquisitions over the last 10 years, ABB has brought together an incredibly broad range of capabilities from power equipment, automation, and robotics on the equipment side; and software offerings including enterprise resource planning (ERP), asset management, work management, network control, and other industry-specific solutions for the energy and mining sectors.

The theme of the event was "Engage to Empower" and the approach to the event and engagement with its customer highlighted the move to reinforce the importance of software as an integral part of the ABB portfolio. This event was one of the first steps in Australia since the new branding under ABB -- to shift the market positioning of ABB Enterprise Software to focus on integration IT and operational technology, empowering the analytics capabilities of ABB's software offerings.
