VicRoads is undertaking to upgrade Plenty Road, between McKimmies Road and Bridge Inn Road in Mill Park, Victoria, Australia.

The project involves the widening of Plenty Road from four to six lanes between McKimmies Road and Riverdale Boulevard, and from two to four lanes between Riverdale Boulevard and Bridge Inn Road.

First stage consists of McKimmies Road and Bush Boulevard and second stage of Bush Boulevard and Bridge Inn Road.

The project includes the construction of pedestrian ways, the installation of new traffic signals on Mayfield Drive and new pedestrian operated signals between Childs Road and Centenary Drive, and the upgrade of four existing signalised intersections.

On April 27, 2016, the Government of Victoria (GoV) announced US$108 million funding for the project as a part of Victorian Budget 2016/17.

VicRoads invited tenders for Design-build Contract in 2017.

Tender for the project was closed in August 2017. List of participant companies include;

3. Cut & Fill Pty Ltd

In September 2017, public consultation held.

In February 2018, DECMIL was awarded a construction contract for the first stage.

Major construction works on the project are expected to start after the completion of early works, which involve the design relocation of essential services such as the telephone, water, and electricity.

Scope
