In the Former Soviet Union region, 24 key planned projects are expected to contribute 2.1 million barrels of oil per day to the global crude production and 10.4 billion cubic feet per day to the global gas production in 2025. Russia has the most planned projects in the region at 23, followed by one in Kazakhstan. The total capex of these planned projects is expected to be US$148.1 billion. Rosneft Oil Company will operate the highest number of key planned projects in the region at nine, followed by Lukoil and Gazprom with three projects each. The Kovyktinskoye field, with an estimated capex spending of US$4.4 billion during 2016-2025, will have the highest capex spending among the planned fields.
