b) Replacement of superstructure with 125m, 3-span Steel Deck Box Girder

c) Improvement of approach road

Guadalupe Bridge (Inner Section)

a) Replacement of piers with RC piers on SPSP foundation

b) Soil improvement at abutments

c) Repair of superstructure

d) Improvement of approach road

The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has been appointed as technical consultant.

On May 26, 2015, the Board of National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) approved the project.

On August 25, 2015, the Government of Japan signed a loan agreement with the Government of Philippines for the implementation of the project. The Government of Japan through JICA will fund the project with US$77 million.

In December 2015, The NEDA Secretariat is currently reviewing the DPWH’s submissions on the Department’s compliance with the remaining conditions for the e Investment Coordination Committee (ICC) approval of the project.

The project is funding through Comprehensive Tax Reform Program (CTRP) which enable government to raise the funds.

Construction is expected to commence in 2019 with the completion scheduled in 2023.
