Charter Hall Group (CHC) is undertaking construction of a headquarters building in Fortitude Valley, Queensland, Australia.

The project involves the construction of a 14-story, 19,000m2 office building. It includes the construction of conference halls, meeting rooms, a cafeteria, storage units, parking spaces and related facilities, and the installation of safety and security systems.

In March 2015, Aurizon Holdings Ltd (Aurizon) issued expressions of interest (EoI) from property and investment companies for its new corporate head office accommodation.

Consolidated Properties Group has been appointed as developer and Hutchinson Builders as design-build contractor for the project. John Wardle Architects has been appointed as design Architect.

In September 2015, CHC through its managed Core Plus Office Fund (CPOF) and Direct Office Fund (DOF) purchased a Fortitude Valley site and to develop a new office tower for Aurizon. The building will be 100% pre-leased to Aurizon, as its new consolidated national head office, for an initial period of 12 years.

On June 3, 2016, construction works commenced for the project.

Construction works are underway and scheduled to be completed in 2018.
