The project involves the construction of a residential community comprising 1,079 senior housing units on 227.4ha of land and being implemented in phases. In November 2015, the Maryland Board of Public Works (BPW) voted to approve the project plans to build 1,079 housing units.

On December 18, 2015, environmental groups and citizens filed an appeal in the Circuit Court of Queen Anne County against the BPW permit decision.

In September 2016, Circuit Court enters judgment upholding BPW issuance project approval.

In October 2016, Chesapeake Bay Foundation and other opponents filed a notice of appeal against the Circuit Court judgment.

On October 21, 2016, BPW approved the first phase of the project.

In October 2017, Construction activities for the first phase commenced and expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2018.
