Perkins + Will has been appointed as architect/planner, GLS as a landscape architect, Raimi + Associates, Inc. as lead consultant, Goulston & Storrs as legal advisors, ARUP as a civil engineer and Butler Construction Company, Inc as the construction contractor.

On August 23, 2010, a specific plan, design guidelines, and negative declaration were approved.

On February 7, 2011, the city council approved Ordinance for Adoption Agreement.

The project was placed on hold due to financial issues and revived in 2014.

In February 2015, the San Mateo council approved the project.

In May 2015, demolition of Kmart store commenced and was completed in November 2015.

Construction activities are underway and expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2019.
