YMCA will invest US$10 million for the construction of additional space, while LPL will sell its Westmount branch on Wonderland Road and build a new branch at the recreation center at a cost of US$4.5 million.

CoL made a partnership with YMCA and the LPL for project development.

On June 22, 2015, consultation for the design concept of the project was held.

On June 14, 2016, a groundbreaking ceremony held.

In July 2016, construction works commenced and are underway with completion scheduled by September 2018.
