Summary
Établissement Public de Coopération Scientifique (EPCS) is developing the Condorcet Campus project in Aubervilliers, France.

The project involves the construction of a university premises on an 8ha area. The project is being developed in two sites: La Chapelle (34,000m2) and Aubervilliers (139,000m2).

The first phase of the project includes the construction of a Library on a 25,000m2 area, a research building on a 10,000m2 area, research laboratories, class room facilities, lecture halls, food courts, new access roads, parking facilities and other related facilities.

The second phase includes the construction of university buildings, class room facilities, libraries, sports complex, research units, accommodation facilities to 15,000 students, new access roads, parking facilities and other related facilities.

Design competition for the Campus Library part of first phase of the project was launched in the fourth quarter of 2013; four design companies Atelier Barani, Agence Elisabeth et Christian de Portzamparc, Plan01 and Brisac Gonzalez were participated.

The project received a financial grant of US$645 million from the Ministry of Education.

Demolition contract was awarded to Bouvelot TP.

Demolition works was commenced in February 2014.

In April 2015, The France Government validated the project funding for the first phase of the project.

On January 23, 2015, the architect for the library has been to Agence Elisabeth et Christian de Portzamparc.

On October 28, 2015, tender has been issued to monitor the implementation of PPP agreement.

In November 2015, the DBFOM contract was awarded to a consortium led by 3i Infrastructure plc, GTM Bâtiment and Cofely.

Excavation works for the first phase (Campus Condorcet d’Aubervilliers) commenced in December 2016.

Excavation works for the first phase and the site preparation activities for the second phase are underway.

Construction works for the first phase (Campus Condorcet d’Aubervilliers) commenced in the third quarter of 2017.

In November 2017, Jean Guervilly & Françoise Mauffret won the architects contract for La Chapelle project.
