The Ministry of Economic Development of the Republic of Bashkortostan (MoEDRB) is planning to undertake the development of the 170km Sterlitamak–Magnitogorsk Highway in Bashkortostan, Russia.

The project involves the construction of a highway that will directly link Sterlitamak with the Bashkir Trans-Ural region and the Chelyabinsk region. It further includes the construction of culverts, service roads, tolling and related facilities and the installation of traffic signal lights.

This project will provide transport from Sterlitamak to Sibai, Starosubhangulovo, Beloretsk and other towns in the region.

The project will be developed on the basis of PPP.

In January 2017, Bashkirdorstroy was appointed as the EPC Contractor. However, the tender was suspended by the authorities due to a complaint against the procedure of the tender.

December 2017, Republic of Bashkortostan and Bashkirdorstroy signed a protocol on the preparation for concluding a concession agreement.

Design and survey work is underway.
