Jay Peak Resort (JPR) is undertaking the expansion of a resort in Vermont, the US.

The project involves the construction of 1,115m2 skier services building to replace the existing Stateside Chalet. The project is being implemented in two phases.

The first phase of the project includes the construction of an 84-room mid-range efficiency hotel. It includes the construction of a restaurant, retail outlets, outdoor sports park, swimming pool, leisure area, a common area, and residential rooms.

The second phase includes the construction of 90 dwellings and a lodge. It includes the construction of 20 units are in two, ten unit townhouses and the remaining in cottage style buildings, medical center and related facilities.

Windham Millwork, Inc has been appointed as interior Designer; Wiemann Lamphere Architects, Wagner Hodgson as landscape architect, and Trudell Consulting Engineers (TEC) as surveyor.

Black River Design Architects has been appointed as architect for the hotel.

In October 2012, DEW Construction Corporation was appointed as EPC contractor, L.N. Consulting as supply contractor for the project.

The Northern Border Regional Commission provided US$123 million funding for the development.

In December 2013, construction works on hotel and lodge were completed.

The project placed on hold from April 2016 to April 2017 over alleged fraud relating to EB-5 projects in Vermont’s the Northeast Kingdom.

In February 2018, construction works on Clips and Reels, a brand new indoor climbing center and cinema combo was completed.

Construction works on the other facilities are underway. Construction works on turf soccer fields are scheduled to be completed by April 2018.
